This landscape on Long Island’s south fork had been installed in the late 1980’s. It had grown to look dated and out of scale with the buildings over time. The owner asked for a simplified planting scheme on the steep slope that greets the visitor to the house sitting atop the dune. The installed grass planting created a sea of movement and color that echoes the dunescape on the beach side of the house.
