This house in Quogue, Long Island, was in the final stages of a massive renovation and the owner needed a quick, almost instant garden and landscape installation, as it was going to be host to a small summer ‘camp’ that year.
The owners love lavender and other purples and greens, so a set of very dense, colorful and fragrant plantings around the swimming pool were installed as well as added hydrangeas and wisteria around the house. Pots with tree-form lilacs we included for accents.
The driveway and entry were also completely overhauled – new edges and a gravel drive were installed, as well as stepping-stones to the house. Along the driveway and edges of the property we added lush, shade plantings – masses of viburnums and ilex species were under planted with ferns and astilbe.
